Description

+++A BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED DETACHED COTTAGE nestled within the quaint village of Ganton which is located between SHERBURN and STAXTON on the A64. Nearby is the POPULAR GANTON GREYHOUND COUNTRY INN and the GANTON GOLF COURSE. With the property benefitting from a GENEROUS CONSERVATORY, A LARGE GARDEN and OPEN VIEWS, this would be the IDEAL PROPERTY for someone looking to RETIRE OR RE-LOCATE to a quiet residential area to a property full of charm.+++

Ganton is a small village standing at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds. The village benefits from a cricket ground as well as the highly rated Ganton Greyhound inn that offers both food and accommodation. The village lies on what is now the A64 road between York and the distinguished coastal town of Scarborough, with the equally lovely seaside town of Filey only five miles or so to the east with its extensive sandy beach and the rocky outcrop of Filey Brigg. Ganton was a posting-stop in the days when coaches travelled the roads, and the Greyhound Hotel here was built in the 18th century as a coaching inn.

The charming property comprises; entrance hallway with large storage cupboard and WC providing access to the generous conservatory, large fitted kitchen and spacious lounge-diner with feature wood burner and fire surround. To the first floor are three bedrooms, the family bathroom comprising hand basin, bidet and bath with overhead shower and a separate WC.

Externally the approach to the property is stunning, with an established mature front garden with mature shrubs, flower beds, trees, topiary and hedge row. The beautifully maintained lawn leads to a large paved patio area which the French doors from the conservatory open on to making this a great space to entertain.

Early internal viewing cannot be recommended enough to fully appreciate what this home has on offer. If you wish to book a viewing or require further information please contact our friendly and experienced sales team at Andrew Cowen.
